Drawn equally by the contemplative and apostolic ideals, the Society of Our Mother of Peace aims to combine and balance strong elements of the contemplative life with the essential features of the apostolic life.

Living in material simplicity, members dwell in separate hermitages or in a religious house setting. Several hours daily of solitary prayer along with the Liturgy in common, foster intimacy with God and zeal for the evangelization of the unchurched and non-practicing Catholics, and for helping people deepen their spiritual life through private retreats, spiritual talks, spiritual direction and a full time Associate program.

COMTEMPLATIVE  with  EVANGELIZATION APOSTOLATE

“Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many go that way.  How narrow is the gate that leads to life and how rough the road; few there are who find it” (Matt. 7:13-14).

Come away with us for a day or weeklong retreat or even a longer period to discern your own personal steps towards becoming truly free in and for Christ.

VOCATION OFFICE

THE SOCIETY OF OUR MOTHER OF PEACE has a specific mode of life: contemplative and apostolic, which will lead generous souls to God along the paths of Christian holiness as taught by Holy Mother Church through her teaching authority and the lives of her Saints, such as St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila.

Separate, independent communities function for both men and women over 18 years of age. If you feel that God might be calling you, no matter how little your desire may be, you are welcome to write, call, and/or visit to spend a day or more of recollection at any of our locations, to pray and ask advice about your vocation.

For vocation to any of the Communities, please click the respective link by the side of this page or click on Communities.  There is one thing you can never regret in life: THAT YOU CHOSE GOD.
